We have developed an advanced cooling technology by applying our dual-module optical film to the surface of an aluminum panel with fluid channels behind the panel. The film keeps the panels and any liquid flowing through them cool 24\/7\/365. By connecting the panels to the air conditioning and refrigeration system, we allow the underlying cooling systems to operate more efficiently. Sky-Cool\u2019s patented dual mode film rejects much of the incoming sunlight and radiates infrared heat to the cold sky. The cooling effect of our film occurs through a natural phenomenon known as radiative cooling. Radiative cooling of the sky occurs all the time because the Earth\u2019s atmosphere is partially transparent to infrared heat radiation. As a result, surfaces facing the sky emit more energy as thermal radiation to the sky than they receive from it. This allows a surface facing the sky to essentially radiate some of its heat away.<\/p>\n
